Metropolitan Opera tenor Ian DeNolfo has sung leading tenor roles in many of the worlds leading opera houses and concert halls. A prodigy of Placido Domingo, Ian has enjoyed much critical acclaim singing the very demanding dramatic tenor roles of the Italian, German and French repertoire. He is a graduate of the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute and has received many awards from International competitions including the Metropolitan Opera National Council and the Pavarotti International Voice Competition. Ian possesses a dramatic tenor voice of considerable size and is able to thrill his audiences with emotionally charged performances. Students will benefit from Ian's expert knowledge of stagecraft as well as his keen ability to help performers understand how to connect their emotions to their vocal impact. For the last several years Ian has run Lion Recording Studios and has made hundreds of recordings of vocalists and instrumentalists. He also offers photo and video services and has produced countless head shots and YouTube videos for clients.
Dewey Oriente is a local performer and theatre teacher who is thrilled to be back for another summer with The Willson Vocal Academy. As a teacher and educator Dewey has been the head of the Barrack Hebrew Academy Drama Department for the last 29 years. In addition to producing six shows a year, he also teaches acting, public speaking and tap classes. Dewey attended The University of the Arts as an acting major. Currently he is directing Legally Blonde at school and will be directing Shrek this summer for The Brandywiners at Longwood Gardens. Dewey made his Off-Broadway debut in Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral. He has also performed in Atlantic City at The Claridge in Speakeasy an interactive musical murder mystery and in Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah-An Allen Sherman Revue at The Tropicana. Dewey is the recipient of the BroadwayWorld.com award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance as Roger DeBris in The Producers at The Candlelight Theatre in Arden DE.
Tony Oriente has enjoyed making theater magic happen for over 40 years as a performer, director, musical director and writer. A graduate of Dramatic Arts from CAPA, he has had the pleasure of working in many local theater favorites such as Society Hill Playhouse, Theater Center Philadelphia Riverfront Dinner Theatre, City Line Dinner Theatre and Candlelight Dinner Theatre where he just recently was seen as Ben Weahterstaff in The Secret Garden. Favorite roles include: Uncle Louie (Tony n Tina’s Wedding), Judge Turpin (Sweeney Todd), Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors), Peron (Evita), and Charlemagne (Pippin). Tony has had the pleasure of working with young talents in the area as an assistant in the Jack M. barrack Hebrew Academy, musical director at Talent Machine Company in Maryland, and returning for a second season here at The Willson Vocal Academy working on song interpretation and presentation. When not performing, Tony has made his dream come true by returning back to college to earn a BSeD in Elementary Education and is expected to graduate in 2017!
Chelsea Stotter is a graduate of Temple University where she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre - Cum Laude. She was the 2011 winner of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (Delaware Chapter) Musical Theater Award. She has performed in two national musical theater tours and currently continues to work as an actor and singer in the greater Philadelphia area. Chelsea has been a student of the Willson Vocal Academy for almost 10 years, and now, as a teacher embodies Lisa Willson’s methods of vocal pedagogy, musical expression and performance.
